The most common symptom of bent or broken pins is inability or difficulty in installing the Compact Flash memory card. In most cases, with proper lighting, you can remove the card and see into the slot. Every pin should be evenly spaced from its neighbors. If any are uneven, or if you can see the side of a pin, it is bent. Slightly trickier to spot are missing pins, but that still qualifies for this repair offer. Even if pins are missing entirely, we will replace them.
The camera should still turn on, and if it does not turn on with a fresh battery, it has further damage. We can still fix it, but not under this repair listing. Please contact us directly (800-286-9027).

Before shipping your camera, please examine your memory cards. We have found that the cards themselves are often damaged at the same time as the pins, and a damaged card could break your camera again! If there is any doubt, you can send the card too (please backup all images first), and we can often repair that as well - included in the discounted $200 price.
Turn-around time for this internet special is 7-10 business days from when we receive your pre-paid repair to the time we ship it back UPS Ground. Thank you so much for fixing the pins in my camera. It feels so good
to have it back in my hands and functioning beautifully. I also want
to thank you for the photo of the damaged card you included. My card
did indeed have a gouge in it and little bits of plastic covering a
couple of the holes. I bought a new 4 gig card and will probably never
remove it from the camera.
